About the Event
This course compliments the basic safety information that is in many COPE programs but covers much more in detail, for example, hazard rcognition, hazard assessment and tools for recognizing hazards in disaster/everyday situations. We will also cover fire safety topics that are specific to our vulnerable population and living in apartment/multilevel buildings. We will discuss in depth power line, propane/natural gas safety and other hazards commonly encountered during disasters.
