Incident Safety Awareness For Hired Vendors

Bulldozer operators, water tenders, crew bus drivers, vehicle drivers, mechanics who have a CAL FIRE/USFS agreement or contract requiring annual safety training will need to take this mandatory class or they will not be eligible for contracts for the entire 2025 fire season. $175 per student

About the Event
This eight (8) hour course is required for all Hired Vendors working with the USFS or CAL FIRE on any active wildland fire assignment. This includes water tender operators, heavy equipment with water operators, dozer operators, crew bus drivers, vehicle drivers, mechanics, fallers, swampers and chain saw operators.
This course provides an awareness of fireline safety to hired vendors who plan to engage in wildland fire suppression and other incident support activities.Topics include current safety training, relevant policy and procedures, how to recognize and mitigate risk, and maintain safe and effective practices while working under agency supervision on an incident.
Upon successful completion of training, participants will receive a course certificate valid for one (1) year from date of issue.
